What is AudioBookShelf?
AudioBookShelf is a self-hosted audiobook and podcast server. Stream your audiobooks and podcasts to any device—phone, tablet, or computer. This tutorial will walk you through getting started with AudioBookShelf.
Quick Setup Guide
Step 1: Choose Your App
Download an AudioBookShelf-compatible app:
- iOS: Shelf Player ($5, one-time purchase)
- iOS: Still for Audiobookshelf - Free with in-app purchases
- Android: AudioBookShelf (Google Play) - Free
- Android (f-droid): Lissen (F-Droid) - Lightweight, open-source
- Web Browser: Visit listen.gigachad.website directly (no app needed)
Step 2: Connect to the Server
In the app:
- Open the AudioBookShelf app
- Enter the server URL:
https://listen.gigachad.website - Log in with your account credentials
In a web browser:
- Visit listen.gigachad.website
- Log in with your account credentials
Don't have an account? Contact the server administrators to create one for you.
Step 3: Start Listening
Once logged in, you can:
- Browse the audiobook and podcast library
- Download content for offline listening
- Sync your progress across all devices
- Adjust playback speed and skip silences
