What is Jellyfin?
Jellyfin is a free, open-source media server for streaming movies, TV shows, music, and more to any device. Think of it as your own personal Netflix—accessible from your phone, tablet, computer, or smart TV. This tutorial will get you started with Jellyfin.
Quick Setup Guide
Step 1: Choose Your Access Method
Option A: Mobile App
Download the official Jellyfin app:
Option B: Web Browser
Visit watch.gigachad.website directly—no app needed!
Step 2: Connect to the Server
In the app:
- Open the Jellyfin app
- Tap "Add Server"
- Enter the server URL:

In a web browser:
- Visit watch.gigachad.website
- Log in with your account credentials
Don't have an account? Contact the server administrators to create one for you.
Step 3: Browse & Stream
Once logged in, you can:
- Browse movies, TV shows, and music organized by library
- Use filters and search to find content quickly
- Resume watching from where you left off on any device
- Create watchlists and mark favorites
- Adjust quality settings based on your connection
Jellyfin on Your TV
Get Jellyfin on a smart TV or streaming device using one of these methods:
- Android TV / Google TV: Install the "Jellyfin" app from Google Play on your TV or set-top box, open it, add the server URL:
https://watch.gigachad.website, and sign in. - Amazon Fire TV / Fire TV Stick: Install from the Amazon Appstore if available, or sideload the Android APK using the "Downloader" app or ADB; remember to enable "Install unknown apps" for the installer.
- Chromecast: Use the cast icon in the Jellyfin mobile or web app to cast playback to a Chromecast or Chromecast built-in TV.
- Smart TV (webOS / Tizen) & Roku: Install the Jellyfin app from the respective app store if available.
- Set-top boxes (NVIDIA Shield, other Android boxes): Install the Jellyfin Android TV app for the best experience and native remote support.
Tips:
- If playback is choppy, lower the streaming quality in the app settings or enable hardware acceleration on the server.
- Use casting or DLNA if your TV lacks a native Jellyfin app.
